Joell Ortiz - The Brick ( Bodega Chronicles)

Real HIP HOP IS BACK!!! I been following this dude for the past 5 months, since i first heard "Hip-Hop". I had heard about him before but that was the first song i heard before the video and all that came out and i was impressed. But i still had to hear some more. Next i heard "125 pt 1"..........ummmm ok now this dude has my attention, hes spitting like nobody right now. That true hungry hip-hop with no gimmicks. No talk bout ice, no talk killing people, no deep talk. Just talk about the struggle, and amazing word play and confidence. I LOVE IT!!

So i just peeped this album and all i have to say its SOLID. When this cat spits it reminds me of Biggie, not the "Biggie Give Me One More Chance" aka Big Poppa. But the BIGGIE, the "raise ya guns and rob you for your #1 Mom Pendant" Biggie. The amped work play, cocky going hard Biggie. This dude spits the same way but with his own style. Gotta love it, and Hip-Hop needs this right now. Dude called out Hip-Hop and New York and has the talent to back it up. Don't expect to dance to him in the club yet, but he will have content and a story to tell that will keep you tuned in the whole album, which is rare these days. The title of the album is matched by the lyrics and song themes.

Fuck it, JUST GOT LISTEN TO IT FOR YOURSELF!!
