OhhH Emmmm GEEEEE!!! SL65 Black Series

I think i just seriously shitted in my pants when i say this. This might be the most aggressive, sickest Mercedes i have ever seen in my life!! I dont even want to know the price tag on this (probably 200-300 grand easily).

That badass car you are looking at on your screen is the spectacular new Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series, revealed here in all its production glory for the first time. This baby will cost a cool $320,000 and will hit 60 mph in less than 3.9 seconds. Just 200 will come to the United States.

Mercedes regards the Black Series as a technology showcase, so you can bet that elements you find here will make their way onto future AMG models. In fact, there are clear indications that the new car will influence the forthcoming SLC, Mercedes’ secret new gullwing coupe and convertible set to reach North America in 2011.

Carbon fiber is used for the hood, fenders, roof and trunk. The 4122-pound SL65 AMG Black Series undercuts the SL65 AMG by an impressive 550 pounds.

A quick glance tells you that this is no a run-of-the-mill AMG model. The exterior has been reworked with emphasis on cooling air reaching the mighty engine. There are seven ducts up front: three in the bumper, two atop the hood and two more in the fenders. There is no folding roof. It is replaced by a fixed one that blends with the rest of the body and incorporates an integral roll cage.

The twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 has larger turbochargers, a more efficient intercooler and revised exhaust with less back pressure. The three-valve-per-cylinder engine’s output has increased 57 hp, to 661 hp at 5400 rpm. Torque remains at 738 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a beefed-up version of Mercedes’ five-speed automatic transmission, featuring the latest evolution of AMG’s Speedshift software.

Final numbers haven’t been announced yet, but top speed is limited to 199 mph, although the new car is geared to hit 220 mph at the engine’s 6200-rpm cut-out in fifth gear.
